I wanted to take a moment to share why I love selling handmade gifts and home decor goodies in my store. 

I've been adding handmade items for a few years now and with every season comes new ideas, new creations and new inspiration.  With so much in the world made quickly and replaced just as fast, choosing something handmade can feel extra special.  At The Homespun Loft, every stitch is sewn with the intention of creating a wonderful piece that you, my lovely customers, can imagine placing around your home or gifting to a loved one. 

The beauty of the "slowly made" 

Handmade items take time and that’s the thing that gives them their heart.  When you choose to buy something that's been crafted slowly and thoughtfully, you’re actually choosing:

Quality over quantity — pieces made to last, not to be thrown away

Uniqueness — no two items are ever identical, even if you really try to make them so!

Character — the tiny variations that make handmade goods feel special.  Every little eye or whisker is different.

Care — because every make has literally been made here with love and great care

At The Homespun Loft, we believe that the things you bring into your home should spark joy, comfort and that nice cosy feeling.  That’s why we create in small batches, each one lovingly crafted.  The little Homespun Loft Elves beaver away night and day to create these keepsakes just for you.

Of course not everything I sell in The Homespun Loft is handmade.  I adore the Primitive style, it has captured my heart for many decades now, so I buy goodies from the USA such as pip berries, rusty tin and buttons because they fit so beautifully with the handmade items and fabrics in store creating a lovely mix for you to choose from.

I first started The Homespun Loft 25 years ago, it's a homegrown love that I started when my daughter was small.  She's all grown up now but this small business still fills me with joy.

Finally a little personal note from to you.  I can promise you that every order that comes in genuinely means something to me.  It’s celebrated, exciting and very much appreciated!  Every visit you make to my store and every "like" on social media I thank you.   Every lovely order, whether tiny or big, gives me the opportunity to carefully wrap your goodies with tissue, twine, little touches of ribbon, a little toss of confetti, a hand written "thank you" and a BIG smile from me.
